Football is an extremely complicated game, playing when you were younger, or even years of coaching does not make you a good football coach. Being a student of the game and learning continuously, then putting that new knowledge to work is what will separate you from other coaches.

The difference between most youth coaches and higher level coaches is their ability to learn from other people. If you talk to high school or college football coaches they will tell you that they have vast networks of resources including other coaches, that they regularly consult to get tips and tricks, run ideas by them, and get a better understanding of their sport. If a college coach feels he still has things to learn, surely the average youth coach has plenty to learn as well.

This web site is dedicated to building connections between coaches. The coaches corner is a free message board to post questions, answers, or comments for the betterment of all of the coaches.

This site also contains articles, drills, and yes the book I’ve written Winning Youth Football With Defense. All of these are great resources for you the coach to go out and have the most successful season that you have ever had.

Good Luck
